Marcia will be our model. She is angular and holds completely still. Judy will be bringing a large umbrella to pose behind her. This should make for interesting compositions against the mirrors. We will start with our traditional short gestures. I will encourage you to make only 5 to 6 strokes. We will emphasize movement and the balance of weight. I am bringing in some powdered charcoal for experimentation. Use a brush and your eraser to draw bold shapes. I will re emphasize the use of sighting and units of measure. The setting of our model will make you consider the space around her. An umbrella and some dark material with lighting will help you see the model in space.
