Video of Influence of Women in Art

I am honored to be chosen as one of this group of women artists. Pembroke Pines has funded Studio 18, an Artist's colony where studio space is for rent. It is refreshing to see City funding for the arts. Bravo! to Mr. Benoit Menasche, the curator and driving force for the arts in Pembroke Pines.

Seven women artists are featured in this exciting art exhibit. There is a contemporary artist, a water colorist, a mixed media sculptor, an oil & acrylic painter, a collage artist, a photographer and a multi-medium artist. There is something for every artistic taste and all are specialists in their disciplines.

The same ideas used in abstract art are evident and important in representational art. ESPECIALLY in landscapes. SINGAPORE BIENNALE 2016

Lucky me. I arrived in Singapore to find their Biennale in the Singapore Art Museum and other Museums and institutions around town. It has been a great introduction to the Southeast Asian geography and culture. Many visits have pulled me out of an extreme state of jet lag and whetted my appetite to learn more about Southeast Asia. Drawing Class March 4, 2010

FINALLY!!!! Hands Hands Hands I will show you the anatomy of your lower arms, wrist and hands. You will understand the underlying basic shapes and proportions of your wrist, thumb and fingers. I will bring some of my anatomy books with incredible drawings. Please bring your sketchbooks, pencils and erasers and some tracing paper. I will bring a roll if you don't have any for class. Find pictures in magazines or photos of hands. Bring them to class. Try to find foreshortened views. (Yes, that F word!) We will be finding the shapes in the photos. You will be tracing the anatomy so you understand it when you observe your own hands. You are your best model. Perfect sketchbook fodder. Waiting for anything will never be boring again!
