This is a scanned article about finding the basic cube shapes of the head, ribcage and pelvis in a live model. I did a demonstration of this in class last monday. This article gives great graphic descriptions of this idea.

I will bring the ink we used to experiment in last thursday's class.

The looseness you gain from working with ink helps with the gestural marks in figure drawing.

Lucky me. I arrived in Singapore to find their Biennale in the Singapore Art Museum and other Museums and institutions around town. It has been a great introduction to the Southeast Asian geography and culture.
