Perspective 102
One of my first classes was a lesson in perspective
For those of you who missed this class, I will restate the basics:
We will discuss one and two point perspective
Vocabulary includes:
Station point
Picture plane
Vanishing point
I will show you how to build simple shapes in space
I will show you how to visualize ellipses from squares
The book I use is:

by John Montague

Please bring photos of perspective questions that you may have.
I stress drawing from life.
It would be great to find a comfortable spot to draw in the gallery
The car dealership across the street can be absolutely fascinating also.
One day they actually had a Batmobile on a flat bed.
I will bring more viewfinders
They are for sale for $10
Please bring a dry erase marker to use with them.
I will demonstrate how to use the viewfinder.
Remember, the goal is to get rid of it!
Fun art for you...
Julian Beever sidewalk (Pavement in England) drawings
He distorts images so they look 3-D in one angle
Turn to the other side and see the distortion
Another Street painter in the Renaissance style
Kurt Wenner
Olexander Wlasenko
Check out the size of this work!
He works tonally (interesting!)
M.C. Escher
Bring your graphite and charcoal
Paper and a drawing board
We are cruising!
See you Thursday!
