It's a Sonya kinda morning. I am back from a long week helping my dear mom in Sweet Home Chicago. We ate and drank way too much while looking through old pictures and making trips to the Salvation Army. Lollapallooza, Market Days at Halsted and a Cubs game brought out Chicago's finest.  I stole a few hours to visit the Modern Wing at the Art Institute of Chicago. What a beautiful building. I know the collection well because I had to walk by most of it on my way to class as a young adult.  Here are some of my favorites Sylvia Plimack Mangold http://www.tampamuseum.org/collections/paintings Michelangelo Pistoletto http://www.pistoletto.it/ Julia Fish http://www.juliafish.com/# These are immaculate details and plans of her apartment in Chicago I have always loved Roberto Matta His drawings stopped me when I was a teenager http://www.matta-art.com/ Sweet Home Chicago - The Bean - Millenium Park
