Renovating our kitchen and waiting for the refrigerator to be repaired for 1 1/2 weeks. Life is kinda upside down - or simpler. Memories of cruising on a sailboat -  collecting water to wash dishes in the small sink! Ah - as well with my work right now. Looking forward to making some paintings and finishing my next monster drawing. Nica coming to sit again tomorrow morn. Painting with my favorite artists in my studio. Smarty pants CSMART open studio Thursday night OK, update on Tuesday morning - not Sunday afternoon.  Renovation is a dirty word, but is now happening in my home. Boca painting students - no class on Friday, Nov. 11th Veterans Day - Go see Joe Green's veteran's day parade The very coolest man - Patrick Blanc - designer of vertical gardens   Wonderful article in the Wall Street Journal on Saturday about Mr. Blanc His desk is placed upon a large aquarium, has 10 different types of birds in his home for insect control and starts his days with a glass of champagne. His sketches are outrageous plans of plants He makes wire sculptures for the plants to grow upon He looks a bit like a leprechaun - a wonderful life of creativity George Shipperley  Great example of "everything is an abstract!" Reminds me of Klimpt's work. Beautiful color statements. Second place in Artist's magazine contest for landscape/interior Brad Lethaby I
