What moves men of genius, or rather what inspires their work, is not new ideas, but their obsession with the idea that what has already been said is still not enough, "Eugene Delacroix"

ART MIAMI! Romi and I went to Art Miami, Scope and Art Asia on Saturday. Amazing show of interesting ideas - some quite entertaining as well as fantastic skill and technical ability. Art Asia always opens my eyes. My experiences traveling left the impression that not only is Asia on the other side of the earth, but on the other side of your eyeballs. Here are some of my favorites. Too many to list - Just a few that left an impression on me. Sybelle Peretti  She etches into glass on which she manipulates pigment and images. The photos do not do her justice. I saw her work in Scope last year - still it stops me in my tracks. Julie Heffernan   I love "Self portrait sitting on world." Look carefully at these classically painted allegories. Rachel Bess  All of her beautifully painted, thought provoking portraits were sold. I was immediately drawn to her painting technique - stunning - and the imagery she chose. Koon Wai-bong  Exceptional Chi

Art is about paying attention," Laurie Anderson
